Horizon2020-NET

Intensifying participation of Danish stakeholders in Horizon 2020 projects in the areas of robotics, automation and drones

Background

The participation and collaboration of Danish research institutions and businesses in larger Horizon 2020 projects is to be strengthened. Therefore, it is necessary to support activities that increase participation in Horizon 2020 projects by increasing Danish stakeholders' knowledge about opportunities and/or connecting network participants with relevant European and Danish networks. It is also important to give experienced stakeholders and organisations more opportunities to involve new stakeholders and build up research and innovation capacity in new areas.

Aim/vision

20160503_Horizon2020-NET_2The project's aim is to increase the participation and collaboration of research institutions and businesses in larger Horizon 2020 projects in the areas of robotics and automation technology. The goal for the project's participants is to build up knowledge and networks that subsequently result in applications to Horizon 2020.

Project activities:

  • Spread knowledge about calls, opportunities and advantages of projects in the Horizon 2020 programme
Workshop with RoboCluster and UAS Denmark about Horizon 2020 calls
Knowledge dissemination via websites and newsletters about Horizon 2020 calls
Offers to businesses about participating in European meetings about projects in Horizon 2020
  • Connect Danish stakeholders with relevant European stakeholders
Matchmaking with international stakeholders at meetings in euRobotics (European association of robot suppliers, end users and universities), through launching ICT calls and ICT information meetings in the Commission, and through participation in the European Robotics Forum
  • Initiate projects through direct project meetings
Following up the above activities and organising project meetings that culminate in   applications to Horizon 2020.

Expected Results

The project's participants expect to send nine applications to Horizon 2020 during the project period. In addition, it is expected that new types of projects will arise through the project's support of businesses' participation in Horizon 2020.

Participants

Finances

The project has a total budget of 3 million DKK of which The Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation is granting 1.5 million DKK from the HORIZON2020-NET fund and 1.5 million DKK is co-financed by the project participants.

The project runs from 1st March 2016 to 28th February 2018.
